A delegation composed of 29 business and political officials are promoting Atlanta and Georgia this week, Sept. 24-30, in the German cities of Dresden, Leipzig and Nuremburg.

The delegation is led by Wayne Reece, president of Reece and Associates LLC, and includes state representatives, Mike Coan, a Republican from Lawrenceville who chairs the Industrial Relations Committee, and Ron Stephens, a Republican from Savannah, who chairs the Economic Development and Tourism Committee.

Other members of the delegation are James W. According to Mr. Reece, the mission seeks to develop business and cultural ties between the Southeast and these rapidly growing regions of the German economy.

The delegates have met with Thomas Jurk, the state of Saxony’s economics minister. They also visited the Porsche Diamond plant and research test track Qimonda, a global nanotechnology company, and a Volkswagen facility.
