Sen. Johnny Isakson

The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce is hosting Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson in a discussion with Atlanta businesspeople June 16.

The format is to allow Mr. Isakson to discuss business issues with audience members, facilitated by Sam Williams, the chamber’s president.

Mr. Isakson has weighed in on issues affecting international business during past visits to Atlanta, saying at Emory University in March that he would vote for any free trade agreement to come before the Senate.

The Marietta native's business experience includes more than 20 years as president of Northside Realty, prior to entering politics in 1974.

Mr. Isakson currently sits on the Senate committees for small business and entrepreneurship and foreign relations, among others.
