The application deadline for the World Trade Center Atlanta’s annual Governor’s International Awards is Tuesday, July 22.
The gala dinner at which the awards are to be given out is to be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, in the garden atrium of the SunTrust Plaza building downtown.
The awards are for the following categories: international trade, international investment, international education and individual contribution to the international community.
Anyone may nominate a company, individual or program and self-nominations are welcome.
Any Georgia-based company or foreign corporation qualified to do business in Georgia with a significant Georgia presence, education institution or individual is eligible for nomination.

Last year’s winners were: Bryan Moss, president emeritus of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., for international trade; Pratt Industries Inc., for international investment;
Karen Loch, director of Georgia State University’s Global Partners MBA program, for international education and Macon attorney Christopher Smith, the honorary consul of Denmark, for community contribution.
This year’s gala dinner is to feature a champagne reception, a three course international dinner and entertainment by the Jerry Lambert trio.
The Hyatt Regency hotel is offering a $129 special room rate for gala attendees.
