Agio Press Inc. publishes international business news and related information including a calendar of events relevant to Atlanta and Georgia.
We are the only publisher to focus on this market niche, delivering a unique product to a select audience interested in business opportunities presented by the global economy.
In recognition of this achievement and his ongoing work, our publisher and founder, Phil Bolton, received the Governor’s Award for his service to the international business community in Atlanta and Georgia.
Since 1993 GlobalAtlanta has been Atlanta’s global news leader and is now being positioned to be at the forefront of Atlanta’s emergence as an international business center.
In response to demand from our readers, we will be launching www.globalgeorgia.com to report on international happenings throughout the state. This effort will begin with an international calendar of events for www.globalatlanta.com and www.globalsavannah.com, which was launched in Savannah in January.
Advertisers who commit to GlobalAtlanta in early 2008 will be guaranteed their current rate and full coverage on the new site for no additional charge. Existing advertisers also will receive a special discount in 2009.
Our flagship site, www.globalatlanta.com and its weekly e-newsletter, generate more than 40,000 visits per month. Our readers are 86 percent from inside the United States with the remainder scattered throughout out the world. The newsletter is delivered 50 weeks a year to our readers in a wide range of businesses and government entities including:
- Economic development organizations
- International companies
- International professional organizations
- Domestic companies
- Multinational corporations
- Bi-national chambers of commerce
- More than 50 consulates
- Georgia universities
- Sole practitioners
While we have focused on providing news and information particularly applicable to small- to medium-sized companies, our readers all share a common interest in the global economy and how it connects with what they are doing in business.
The number of readers of www.globalatlanta.com has climbed steadily since the site was relaunched in February 2007, having more than doubled in terms of visitors and pages viewed. We now are averaging approximately 45,000 visitors per month with an average time spent on the site of more than seven minutes. We are committed to expanding our readership to individuals and businesses worldwide.
The expanded format also has allowed us to offer new advertising opportunities in contrast to our former site including:
- the inclusion of two ads into the body of the issue;
- the inclusion of two ads on the home page along with logos for top-tier sponsors;
- multiple ads on each story page along with logos and links for all sponsors;
- integrated videos within articles in Quicktime and Windows Media formats.
We also are changing our publishing practices by posting articles throughout the week instead of just once a week. Our new home page design allows for a featured article and a separate “top story” with related audio recording, videos and photographs.
A new interactive international calendar also will have audio and video features, RSS feeds and a weekly email customized to the preferences of individual readers.
The GlobalSavannah and GlobalGeorgia Web sites will provide expanded reporting of events throughout Georgia. E-newsletters for these two sites will go to subscribers who also will receive GlobalAtlanta’s GlobalFlash, GlobalNote and VideoNote services.
As a single source of information for Atlanta’s international business and consular community, the GlobalAtlanta staff acts as a multiplier of our advertisers’ and sponsors’ marketing and networking efforts.
Through the reporting on all segments of the region’s international business community including economic development entities, the consular corps, bi-national chambers of commerce and all types of international businesses, we are constantly connecting people who share business and cultural interests.
